Mark Ruffalo Says The Hulk Was Cut From Captain America: Civil War

Image
Given how many characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe show up in  Captain America: Civil War , it’s perhaps not that surprising there was little room left for one of the biggest.  According to Mark Ruffalo himself, the Hulk will not be appearing in the film . Out promoting journo drama  Spotlight  at the Venice Film Festival, Ruffalo told Badtaste.it (the site is Italian, but the t ranslation is at Collider ) that Bruce Banner’s hulking alter ego, last seen soaring into the sky in a Quinjet at the end of  Avengers: Age Of Ultron , is not scheduled to grace our screens again just yet. “The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie. I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where is he and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.”  Of course, there’s always the chance we might see him pop up in some post-credits scene to tease future Bruce time, but for now it looks like we’ll have to...

Stephen Rider Joins Daredevil Season 2

Image
Playing District Attorney Blake Tower It's clearly a morning for Netflix casting news. Following stories about  Luke Cage  and  Bloodline , here's some Daredevil.  Stephen Rider ( Safe House ,  The Butler ) will be joining the cast for the second season of the street-level Marvel vigilante show . He's playing District Attorney Blake Tower. Tower comes straight from the comics, although as is par for the course, he'll certainly have been adapted for purpose here. The character made his debut in a 1968 Marv Wolfman issue ("Man-Bull In A China-Town!") and has been a sporadic returning character - in Daredevil and other titles - ever since. In more recent years he was instrumental in She-Hulk's law career. Deadline's intel pegs Tower as a regular character and an ally for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, feeding him the information that helps him catch bad guys. Rider joins other new cast members including Elodie Yung as Elektra and Jon Bernthal a...

Rafael Nadal strips off in racy new ads for Tommy Hilfiger

Image
Rafael Nadal is better known for his skills on the tennis court than his modelling abilities in front of a camera, but a new campaign for US retailer Tommy Hilfiger might just change that. A series of new campaign images released today show Nadal posing in nothing but his smalls in his new role as Tommy Hilfiger's global brand ambassador. Nadal will front autumn/winter campaigns for the underwear and tailoring divisions of the brand as well as the new fragrance TH Bold. “Rafael embodies an effortless sense of style that exemplifies and reflects our brand spirit – he’s confident, fun and cool.” This isn't Nadal's first foray infront of the camera, the tennis player previously fronted a campaign for Emporio Armani which also made the most of his (ahem) athletic physique.

TECH NEWS: Motorola's latest smartwatch, it's all about freedom of choice

Image
Motorola's smartwatch head start has long since dissipated. When Motorola launched its Moto 360 a year ago, it turned heads as the first smartwatch that felt like a watch -- one that employed premium materials such as a leather strap and a round, stainless steel body. But its follow-up to the original enters an entirely different market. The Moto 360 is no longer the only round smartwatch in the market -- multiple companies have followed suit. Others have added even more premium materials such as sapphire glass. And, of course, there's the Apple Watch. So how does Motorola survive in this brave, new smartwatch world? By reinforcing the notion of freedom when it comes to customization. The company on Wednesday unveiled a new Moto 360, which comes in two sizes and offers even more choices for people looking to tweak the look with different materials. In the coming months, Motorola will launch a Sport version with a GPS and waterproof body. Motorola is just one of m...

Eden Hazard Acknowledges His Form Has Been Poor

Image
Eden Hazard agrees with Jose Mourinho that he hasn't performed up to the standards he established last season. Hazard is in his fourth season with Chelsea. "It's obvious," he told French sports daily L'Equipe. "You don't need to know too much about football to compare what I did last season and what I did this season. I'm not as good. "It's more of a collective problem than an individual one. We're professionals. We knew this season was going to be more difficult... but within the squad we have the quality to bounce back."

Winners and losers of the UEFA Champions League group stage draw It somehow took almost an hour, but the various UEFA dignitaries and their ballyhooed guests managed to get through all of their highlight reels and pull 32 balls from a bunch of bowls. When they finally did, they revealed the makeup of the group stage of this season's Champions League. This year's format for the seeding was altered from the past. Rather than simply go by the clubs' historical performance in continental competition – the UEFA coefficient – trophy holder Barcelona and the champions of the seven highest-ranked leagues other than the defenders' domestic competition, were put into Pot 1 as the top seeds. And while this certainly equalized the spread across the countries, as it was intended to, it also had a significant effect on the outcome of the draw. So let's sort through the results of Thursday's glitzy affair and separate the winners from the losers. WINNERS Manc...
